Sagar Academy for Logistics Training (SALT) is an institution dedicated to developing, expanding and upgrading the knowledge and skill level of personnel working in the maritime logistics industry.
Founded in 2012, SALT provides quality, comprehensive and appropriate training to supervisory, executive and managerial staff across the full maritime ecosystem — drawing on over three decades of frontline port experience to deliver education that is practical, current and directly applicable.
Every training course has been designed, developed and is delivered by T V Sowrirajan — ensuring a consistent standard of depth and relevance throughout the curriculum.
With over 33 years of experience in the port ecosystem, Sowrirajan brings expertise spanning every facet of port operations — from cargo handling and ship operations to logistics management and maritime commerce.
A subject matter expert and a professional trainer, he was trained by and worked with the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), receiving specialised instruction in Instructorship and Course Development at Cardiff, UK.
He has designed, developed and conducted numerous shipping and port-related training programmes both in India and internationally.
